As a writer, publisher, and filmmaker, Addison’s work includes the Oscar-nominated documentary I.O.U.S.A. He is also the author of three New York Times bestsellers: Demise of the Dollar, Financial Reckoning Day, and Empire of Debt. All three bestsellers have been released in their third post-pandemic editions. His writing portfolio also features The Little Book of the Shrinking Dollar, part of the John Wiley & Sons series.

Addison’s early career included co-founding The Daily Reckoning with Bill Bonner, which was known for predicting the early 2000s dot-com bubble and the 2008 financial crisis.
During his formal career, Addison founded and served as Executive Publisher at Agora Financial until 2020, helping grow it into one of the world’s largest independent financial research firms. Notably, he also wrote, produced and financed I.O.U.S.A., which was accepted for jury consideration of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and a Critics’ Choice Award and was shortlisted for an Academy Award and has written, directed and produced a number of online documentaries.
